Completed: Angel of Compassion

Another day, another finished masterpiece. Well, or “thing I colored”.

Another day, another finished masterpiece. Well, or “thing I colored”:

This was the second in a series of four designs by Selina Fenech. If you want to get your own copy and do it your way (more sportsmanlike), just click on “Gallery” and then “Free Extras”, if memory serves. Trust me, you’ll find it.

If you want to play “Before and After”, here is the raw design. I forgot to take a picture of it before I got cracking on it, so here’s the fuzzy “right off of the monitor” version:

By playing the Six Differences game, you’ll probably spot the tweaks I made to the design, namely emphasis marks on her bare skin. And I defined her nose a bit more.

I really like how the wings turned out. I’m trying to be consistent on the one hand, but with just enough variation to give each angel a unique “personality” through my color choices and so forth.

BTW, I Googled “compassion” in the image search and the common colors associated with that word were blue and purple. I already gave the Angel of Joy blue-green hair, so I went purple with a blue base for this one, and in my attempt to make her dress “off white” it went more “pale yellow”. Oh well. I’m hoping she’ll forgive me.
